Only put cheap drinking glasses in the dishwasher. Over time glasses washed in a dishwasher get a dull white film on them that may not come off! Cloudy Glasses Soak in warm (not hot) vinegar, then scrubbing, or try scrubbing with white toothpaste. Crystal & Special Glasses Wash by hand, using ordinary washing-up liquid and rinse well. Use a plastic bowl to prevent knocks against a hard sink (or line bottom of sink with an old towel) and leave to dry bottom up on a clean tea towel or buff carefully with a lint-free cloth. When washing up, a few drops of lemon juice or a slice of fresh lemon will give your glasses an extra shine and will make them squeaky clean but always rinse afterwards. Also always wash glasses first when doing the washing up, it stops food particles being left on the glasses. |
