Remove all items from marble table or marble countertop, with a dry clean soft cloth, clean the marble to remove debris and food crumbs. If there is lots of oil on marble surface from cooking, take a clean cotton towel and wet it with some acetone found at a hardware store and wipe marble surface. Use a neutral pH non rinsing marble cleaning product available from specialty natural stone supplies supplier. If neutral cleaner is not available, mix one teaspoon of non citrus dish washing liquid in a gallon of warm water, wet marble surface with mixture, give it few minutes and scrub marble with a soft white pad. Squeegee the excess solution and with a new wet clean cotton towel, wipe surface to rinse the remaining soap off. With a dry cotton towel, buff marble surface. |
